A win and 2 3rds. IM satisfied with that. Disappointed i didn't make better use of my start in race 3 and keep the lead.
And twice i made silly mistakes to let Torg through to 2nd. Race 2 getting massively out of shape and race 3 leaving the door wide open for Torg to come through.
but i had 1 lap warm up before the races began so cant complain.

I watched the replay slax you got a bucket full of understeer in race 3. Then just bounced off the walls the only lag i saw was rui, but he was well don't the field.

yes, the car felt totaly different in the last race,,i had to go anyway but torg and twister pushing me caused by little distancelag i think. race 2 boot pushed me in a spin also caused by the distancelag.
finaly i could battle you guys, but with lag its impossible

Post by Torg22 Tue Mar 04, 2014 10:10 am

Hmm, I'm not sure if my nudge was lag! I did make contact with you once I think in the heat of a battle. A little dissapointed with my results, wanted a win on my favorite circuit but just couldn't get a good start or pass anyone for p1. Had really good pace as we'll so a tad Sad

Chris.. If you have a replay of race 3 you should watch lap 1 from my car. Sooooo nearly took you out at the top of the circuit. Caught my rear wheel on grass and slid sideways under breaking missing you by an inch lol. Can't believe I actually kept it on the circuit.

Post by Twister42 Tue Mar 04, 2014 2:59 pm

Hey guys.

Will get round to results today, and then setting up all other events today so they up nice and early.
Just had a hectic accident on the freeway where a guy drove into me from the off ramp. I had nowhere to go as cars where in front, behind and then lane right of me had cars flying past...and my hooter did nothing. He was so busy on his phone he drove straight into me...what a fucker!!!

So once i calm down a bit going to do all on here.

Last night was just not possible for me with lag, speed lag which i think is what Slax had too. Speed lag you cant see but you feel. I went from doing 47's to 52's and just could not get any quicker. Very frustrating when in practice i know i had front running pace again. To be honest this lag is making it pointless for me to compete so am considering pulling out as a competitor and just hosting and playing safety car or something.

Omg twister I hope you are ok and car not demolished, what a lowlife that hit you driving on the phone is a big nono.

Anyhow, we never had these lag issues before so it can be improved. I can see how you guys hosting must lose motivation with speedlagbug etc but I guarantee it can be fixed if we just work at it by doing a group lag test in practice together and reporting the findings then changing hosts etc until the lag is fixed. Main issue historically in RP usually is if 1 or 2 of us have to share our Internet connection with our housemate/ girlfriend / wife's iphone or iPad when we are racing. My wife has strict instructions to shut down all such devices when I'm in a league race!

Yeah thankfully im ok. I dont usually get upset for anything but apart from the car being a little scrapped up im fine thankfully. Could of been much worse. Will report the driver tomorrow, but i imagine nothing will come of it.

Been playing in a GTR2 league tonight, in practice we had 28 guys...it was so awesome!!! Imagine if Race Pro could do 28 player games lag free, we would all be in heaven!!

Round 4 : Zandvoort Empty Re: Round 4 : Zandvoort

Post by supaslax Wed Mar 05, 2014 11:12 am

next month i have a pc that can run those games.. just need the rest lol. and money. wheel screens and playseat.
i think in race 3 i had that problem with frames what you had to twister,, not sure i had speedlag cause i only did 3 laps..but race 1 and 2 i was doing 1.47 and race 3 i couldnt do that.

but on the possitive side i found out some interesting things about setups that night.
for 5 years i mostly adjust to how the car handles and drive almost all classes on default with little changes. (because i dont know what to change)
jamesblast helped me how to setup the car, he was in kartracing and knows alot about karting, (very very fast in this), now im starting to understand how some things work in setups, need some more lessons lol and tracktime to test this.
slowly i can make the car do what i want, instead off i adjust to how the car reacts.
the tyres where good untill the last lap and i was more consistent, normaly my tyres drop after 4laps and more after 8laps.
now the last 5 or 6 laps i did all in 1.47.5 or 1.47.6, and in both races the last lap was the fastest, but first 2 laps i struggle now a little so need to work on that.. and see how this works on other tracks..

28 player in 1 lobby sounds awesome twister, give me a half year and it will be 29 lol

haha, you get me back when we kart again james..
i will not leave racepro, racepro is the reason i bought the xbox and where i met and learned simracing.

i have race07 and steam but my pc(commodore64.lol) is to slow for that..
is 1 screen enough for gtr and race07? or do you really need 3 screens.

Thats good to hear Supaslax.
I didnt know you were into karting James, me too.
Surely 1 screen is sufficient for PC games, yes 3 is ideal , but not a requirement.

Hey trev,
Is that a remark on my racingskills?lol
Yeah I drive a 125cc shiftkart (Energy corsi with a 2-stroke TM k9c engine)
Just for hobby, to drive a real race is too expensive and I am not fast enough.
But boy it is fun.
I hope to race with Supaslax again this spring in the 100 miles of Genk.
Was great last year.
What kart you drive Trevisio?
