WTCC Season 1 Schedule

Season 1 of the Haxor Computer Services South African League.

This will be a 10 round championship, final results will be your best 8 race meeting. Each race meeting will consist of 3 sprint races.
Race 1 will be a 7 lap sprint race.
Race 2 and 3 will have a 8 lap rolling start.
Race 1 starting position is determined by a qualifying lap.
Race 2 is a rolling start complete grid reversal from qualifying.
Race 3 starts with the finishing order of race 2.

All races will be held Monday nights with practice session starting at 21:30 GMT +2:00 and races starting at 22:30 GMT +2:00 sharp.

Round 06: 31th March 2014 - Monza
Round 07: 7th April 2014 - Road America
Round 08: 14th April 2014 - Brands Hatch
Round 09: 21st April 2014 - Brno

Slight correction to schedule, Spa was on twice, it was meant to be Road America by second Spa slot!

Any suggestions for tracks for the second league season, feel free to post some ideas!

Hey guys.

We have chosen Monday as a race night, however some would prefer friday, saturday or sundays.
I know some cant do fridays, so question is what days would suit you all, possibly we find a day we all can race, or we alternate mondays and saturdays/sundays?

Any ideas are welcomed.

Spa twice would be fine :-)

Regarding scheduling, I can regularly make the 19.00 (uk) 21.00. (GMT +2) race start time on the following days:

Monday
Wednesday
Saturday
Sunday

I can also start later (earliest 23.00 uk time) on the other days

I can Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday afternoons but I think I posted this already in the sign up thread

After last nights Spa races, maybe we do need it twice. Should we add it as a final round too?

Hello guys, I can everydays except fridays, saturdays and sundays. I never know when i'm home. During the week, after 20h15 I'm ok. Concerning tracks, it misses macau, and Porto (as portuguese that i am I want it there:) )

I will struggle to make 19:00 uk (21:00 GMT+2) I work mostly through the week till 20:00 and every other Saturday to the same time.

If all the other drivers are ok moving a hour, would a hour later help 20:00 UK or 22:00 GMT+2?

Ok so by popular demand races are set forward a hour now. Please take note of the changes.
Practice now starts at 21:30 GMT+2 not 20:00 GMT+2 and the race starts at 22:30 GMT+2 not 21:00 GMT+2.

Hopefully this now caters for all of the drivers! Hope to see you all there.

Race faces on guys!!!

Hey guys.

Regardig race distances, some of you have asked about making the races a bit longer, how do we all feel about this?
By lengthing it, it means the faster guys will always make their way to the front, shorter races tend to mix up results a lot more, giving other guys a chance at potential wins or podiums.

We could lengthen the race if the majority would prefer it, but not to the point of needing pit stops. It must still remain 3 sprint races so possibly extend to 10 lap races from 8.

Good call re no pitstops as there are too many bugs in the pits in race pro at certain tracks, like Anderstorp (great track!)

Sprint races are my personal preference, but a couple more laps per race wouldn't do any harm if others want that.

How about the reverse grid race keep short, and race 1 and 3 make a little longer as they are determined by grid position anyway i.e off qualifying and off finish order of race 2. Point to note the real WTCC only did 9 laps of Spa anyway when they raced there as its a long lap and 9 laps is about 22 mins race.

Good idea there Cronnie, i like the sound of that. So race 1 and 3 we make 10 laps, and race 2 we do 8 laps?
Perhaps being Spa next, we rather do like the real races, 9 laps race 1 and 3, and 7 laps in race 2...hows that grab you guys?

Should we keep this in the same format or would you guys like this to be a longer race as a season finale?

Good idea, I think Spa is a bug free track for pitstops in race pro, so a longer race wouldn't be a problem there
